Affiliated Departments
- The Department works on:
- Conducting research, studies and informational reports that supplement the various activities of the Council, and providing advice to the Council's specialized committees.
- Preparing parliamentary studies and providing research support for friendship committees, parliamentary unions and providing information related to international, parliamentary, political and economic affairs; To support parliamentary diplomacy activities.
- Providing council members with research support when putting forward their suggestions in accordance with Article (23) of the Shura Council bylaw.
- Preparing reports and summaries on local and international developments.
- The Department works on:
- Supervising the council’s library, and providing books, documents, and references that the council needs.
- Preserving and providing government documents necessary for the work of the Council, including royal orders, decrees, rules and regulations, agreements and treaties.
- Preparing informational reports for the council's specialized committees.
- Providing information and data related to the work of the Council on countries, legislative councils and parliamentary unions.
- Supervising the council's exhibition.
- Content of information department:
- Twenty-five thousand documents preserved on electronic media.
- Ninety-five records of the old council.
- More than twenty thousand titles in: (general knowledge, philosophy, religion, Social sciences, languages...etc.
- The Department works on:
- Conducting a survey of citizens' opinions on issues being studied by the council's specialized committees.
- Monitoring the trends of local public opinion towards national issues and the trend of foreign media towards the Kingdom.
- Preparing and coordinating discussion panels and workshops related to the interests of the citizen.
- Building a database related to public opinion.
- Cooperation with centers and institutions of similar interest.
- The Department works on:
- Carrying out Simultaneous interpretation during the visits of foreign delegations, and accompanying His Excellency the Speaker of the Council during foreign visits, or whoever wishes from the leaders and members of the Council in conferences and meetings held by the Council.
- Carrying out written translation work, such as: translation of regulations and periodic reports.
- Translate the content of the Council's website into English, and follow up and update it.
