His Excellency the Speaker of the Shura Council, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Sheikh, received in his office at the Council's seat today, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Kingdom, Yasunari Morino.* The Speaker of the Shura Council congratulated the Japanese Ambassador on his appointment as his country's Ambassador to the Kingdom, wishing him success in his work duties in a way that contributes to strengthening bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, especially at the parliamentary level. For his part, the Japanese Ambassador to the Kingdom praised the bilateral relations between Japan and the Kingdom, expressing his country's keenness to extend bridges of cooperation between the two countries in various fields.* During the reception, issues that would enhance parliamentary relations between the Shura Council and the Japanese Parliament were discussed, and a number of topics of common interest were reviewed.
